"17 days left of being 17 "

ahh. i don't know whether to be dreading this period of time, or to be happily sexcited about it.

as the title of this entry implies, i'm turning 18 soon. and it may seem like a small thing for everyone else (especially those who are already 18) but it's a huge leap for me. don't ask why.

rewind to the day when i was out grocery shopping with my sister. we decided to drop by 7-11 to get something. she was still looking for candy when i walked to the magazines' section, picked up a copy of seventeen and started flipping. being the horoscope-believer that i am, i flipped through the last few pages only to discover that there's an offer if you subscribe to seventeen in the month of july.

i told my sister about it and she shrugged.
normally, i went into my totally-what-the-fuck-mode. o.O
seeing my reaction, she replied as nonchalantly as she could with the words: "you won't be 17 anymore. i won't subscribe it for you."

:(

then she left me there with the copy of seventeen in my hands as she paid for our stuff.

i don't know if it's because she wouldn't subscribe to seventeen for me (because i am a spoilt brat and if i don't get what i want/need, i usually cry first before thinking on how to get it ^^), or if it's because i was feeling a bit shaky that her nonchalance translated to coldness, but i started tearing.

it was later on that i realised it's because i was sad that i'm growing up.
i don't want to grow up.
as much as growing up is a beautiful process..
staying young was just as pretty.. just as.. sigh.
but all of us have to grow up someday. :(

and in these last 17 days of being 17, i'll be filling my time up with things that i always do. work, dance, soundcard, school, mel, family.. the things that remind that it doesn't matter if i grow up, as long as i have my loved ones close by. (:

okay you just wasted 5 minutes of your life reading this.
nyehahahaha. bye.
