for alonso, it is.a deserving win indeed.
this is a super random entry btw. one that may indirectly be directed at somebody who's messing up a good friend's life. but read on if you may.

for all of us tertiary students, pretty soon, we will return to the mundane meaningless life of waking up to go to school, just because we have to. it's not by choice, and it's not really by force, either. but we have to. so we do it.
for me, school has always been enjoyable. i never realised that i've hated it all this while, up until now. and i only hate it because of all the melodrama it brings along with attending it. sure, we've all had our fair share of bitch fights and random bitchings. but it wasn't until recently that i realised it's all part of a vicious cycle that's eating all of us up (inside & out) as we grow older, graduate, and eventually enter the working world.
now, we bitch and gossip over smoke breaks, lunches and lepak-sessions. then i look at people who are older. hearing them talk about (what it seems like) more serious issues, i can't help but wonder... where the fuck did they get this habit? and then it hits me like, right in my face. we're all doing it. just at a different level. i see those little primary school girls with schoolbags twice their body sizes on trains, talking about other friends as though they don't eat together during recess. secondary school students talking WORLD and act as though they're all that matter in the entire universe (oh trust me, if anything were to happen to you, i wouldn't give two hoots about you or your push-up bras.) and then there's us. tertiary students who seem to live life to the fullest, oblivious to the fact that we're all just bringing ourselves to failure if we don't do anything about it.
i mean, it's actually healthy to talk about people. but once it gets nasty, and personal, and you bring others down for their flaws, that's when it actually becomes damaging. like, when it destroys a friendship. or 32438279364 friendships. when you talk too much (no matter how good it is to be outspoken, or so we have been taught), it just brings adverse effects at times and that's something all of us have to deal with. in fact, if you don't address the need to talk, you might just grow up to be one of those makciks who talk non-stop on the way to the pasar, at the pasar, on the way back from the pasar, over the phone at home and.. you get the drift.
God forbid, i do not want to be one of them.
but it's human nature. and unfortunately, we're all humans, you and i.
though, the least we could do.. is to watch what we say about others. because one day, we might just end up like them.
goodnight. (:
